Ms. Fitzgerald received her dance training at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education, the official school of the Rochester City Ballet, and later became a company member. Notable roles with the Rochester City Ballet include the Arabian Princess in The Nutcracker and lead roles in A Common Thread, LumaVoce, Push & Pull and How to Break a Heart, choreographed by RCB artistic director Jamey Leverett. Ms. Fitzgerald has danced the role of the Most Beautiful Maiden in Firebird and was a featured performer in Hoedown and Bravo! Colorado, with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Other notable roles include the Waltz Girl in Balanchine's Serenade, as one of the Three Peasant Girls and a Ghost in Jamey Leverett's The Blood Countess and was chosen by guest choreographer Patrick Corbin to be in his new work Shady III. She received invitations to attend the summer intensives at the Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and the New York State Summer School of the Arts. Additionally, she received a full scholarship to attend the University of Utah's dance program. Ms. Fitzgerald is a graduate of the University of Rochester, with a degree in psychology.
