Jessica Tretter

Jessica TretterJessica Tretter received her dance training at the Draper Center for Dance Education. She attended the School of American Ballet and Houston Ballet summer intensives under full scholarship and American Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive in NYC.

As a company member of the Rochester City Ballet from 1999 - 2003, she danced in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Firebird, Don Quixote and Peter and the Wolf. Additionally she danced in many of Artistic Director Jamey Leverett’s contemporary works, including Overtones and Push and Pull.

In 2003, Ms. Tretter joined Houston Ballet II performing in various classical and contemporary ballets with HBII and the Houston Ballet including Romeo and Juliet, Raymonda, and lead roles in Houston Ballet’s artistic director Stanton Welch’s Blue and Bruiser.

In 2005, she joined the Houston Ballet, performing in their productions of The Nutcracker, Dracula, Giselle, Don Quixote, Onegin, Madame Butterfly, Coppelia, Western Symphony (Balanchine), and performed as one of the four Little Swans for the world premiere of Mr. Welch’s Swan Lake.

In 2007, Ms. Tretter joined Ballet San Antonio where she danced in their Nutcracker and, for their spring season, was a featured performer in La Valse Sentimentale and Suzaki Dances.

Since re-joining Rochester City Ballet, Ms. Tretter has danced as the Spring Fairy in Cinderella and as a featured performer in Bravo! Colorado and Hoedown, at CMAC, with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
