Haley Meier

Ms. Meier received her training at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education and The University of Arizona, on full scholarship, for dance. With the Rochester City Ballet she has danced as the Magical Doll, English Toffee, lead Spanish and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, the lead in Gershwin in the Park the Firebird in Firebird, the lead couple in Push & Pull, and Cinderella in RCB's Cinderella. In 2005 Ms. Meier traveled to Peru to take part in the 14th annual International Festival of Ballet where she performed a contemporary variation, Alcoba Azul, choreographed by Jamey Leverett, along with a classical and contemporary pas de deux. This past spring, Ms. Meier was chosen to perform Gerald Arpino's Valentine, performed in Patrick Corbin's Shady III, and as the Russian Girl in Balanchine's Serenade. Additionally, Ms. Meier has been a featured performer in Hoedown and Bravo! Colorado, with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. While at the University of Arizona, Ms. Meier was a featured soloist in End of Time, choreographed by Texas Ballet Theatre Artistic Director Ben Stevenson and was chosen by Leslie Peck to dance the lead role in Balanchine's Serenade. Ms. Meier's additional training includes the River North summer intensive on full scholarship for two years.
